The skips that we provide are 6 yard skips, 8 yard skips, 10 yard skips, 12 yard skips and 12 yard skips.
You do not need a permit to place a skip on private property as long as you have the landowners permission. If the skip needs to be placed on a road, such as on a public highway, a skip permit must be applied for.
Apt Recycling can apply for a skip licence on your behalf. The cost of the skip permit will vary depending on the size of the skip and your location
If a skip is placed on the roadside, lights and a cover are required to ensure the safety of other road users during hours of darkness. Please read and review the skip permit conditions as published on your local council’s website.
Our standard hire terms include provision of the skip for up to 2 month, or to coincide with your skip permit conditions.
If your wast is hazardous, please do not put it the skip without first speaking to us. There are many items that people will be unaware are hazardous, such as fridges, freezers and mattresses etc.
